Make Money As An Ebay Wholesaler

People use eBay to sell all sorts of items, from things they find in the loft to their own hobbies and crafts, and this is a great way to make a little extra money on the side of their usual earnings. However if they want to make more money than that and turn their eBay selling into a full time vocation, then there are many ways to do that too. The most traditional and popular method for selling items on eBay in enough bulk to make a serious earning is to buy items wholesale in bulk and then sell them off at a more expensive price.

 

Buying and Selling Wholesale on Ebay

If you buy products direct from the manufacturers and in large bulk you can get them for a discounted price which will then enable you to make a profit when you sell them on eBay. This is incredibly simple business model but is also fairly tricky to get into for several reasons. Firstly, buying and selling wholesale requires a fairly large initial investment to buy the products you're planning on selling in such large quantities, and as with any investment that involves a small risk if there's a chance your customers won't buy the stock leaving you with tonnes of jumpers or books in piles around your living room. And therein lies the second problem - the amount of space required to store your products and stock without ruining your living space and upsetting potential partners.

The best way to start out with then is with something small - both in terms of the physical size and in terms of the investment. For example starting with blank CDs and buying just a few hundred wouldn't require a massive investment or much physical room, but might fetch you a nice profit nonetheless. From here you can then take that profit and invest it into your next bulk order meaning that you can increase the size slightly and the risk and so increase your potential return - much like you would in a casino (but always keeping some of the profit to one side to live off and in case things go awry).

 

The Ebay Wholesale Business Model

Try to look at products that are up and coming so that you can buy them cheaply but make a good profit when they come into vogue. Then as you start taking bigger risks and ordering larger bulks you should have quite a lot of money in the 'business account'. If space is still an issue then you can order yourself a warehouse which will also carry the added benefit of allowing you to employ staff to package and dispatch your items as this will likely be taking up a lot of your time. Start small, think big and use a bit of foresight and intuition to stay ahead of the pack. If things go really well, then you can start to branch out of eBay perhaps and should design yourself a company shop. This is fairly easy and by integrating PayPal or another system you can have customers buy directly from your site.
